On April 10th, four sets of the brand-new 'giant' of the fracturing industry, the 7000-type electric drive fracturing sled, were installed in the Junggar Basin by the Downhole Operations Company of Western Drilling, providing strong service guarantees for the safe, green, efficient and intelligent development of Xinjiang oilfields.
The 7000-type electric drive fracturing skid-mounted machine has a power output of up to 7,000 horsepower, featuring the largest installed power in China. One unit can replace three conventional 2500-type oil-driven fracturing trucks, reducing the well site area by over 30%. It also has the operational characteristics of long-term operation, high pressure, high power, large displacement, and low noise. The energy consumption of electric drive can be reduced by more than 20% compared to oil drive. The overall noise was reduced by more than 22%.
For many years, downhole operation companies have been closely focusing on the demands of efficient exploration and profitable development in oil fields, and have vigorously promoted the large-scale application of electric drive fracturing. As early as 2019, we actively coordinated with the oilfield construction party, made overall plans for the construction of power grids and supporting services, and introduced the electric drive fracturing mode. In the early stage of the use of electric drive fracturing skids, to avoid the risk of single drive of electric drive equipment, the underground operation company adopted 'oil-electric hybrid drive' fracturing equipment to ensure on-site construction. The equipment mainly consisted of 2500-type fracturing trucks and 5000-type electric drive fracturing skids, and multiple sets of 'parent-child' flexible water tanks were used for centralized water supply. Large-scale materials such as quartz sand were directly delivered to the construction site, reducing construction costs. Improve operational efficiency.
